HISTORY:

While there have always been many excellent scanning resources available on the internet, there was never adequate information available for scanner enthusiasts in Sussex, Morris, Passaic, and Warren Counties, in New Jersey. On November 1, 1999, I first created this website on a free server through geocities, to provide reliable information to enthusiasts in these areas.

That site became popular, and reputable. In keeping with my goal to make this site one of the best on the internet, I moved it to another server to enhance its appearance. Since its creation, I have relied heavily on feedback from visitors and have added or changed frequencies that either I have known about or been told about by site visitors. Since this site does not require paid subscriptions, the best reward I have gotten in the last 6 years is your e-mails supporting or recommending the site to others.

PURPOSE:

It is the purpose of this site to keep all scanner enthusiasts well informed of correct frequencies in these areas. However, to do it, your help is needed. If you see any frequencies that are outdated or incorrect, please let the webmaster know. Also, if you have a good frequency that simply is not published, please also contact the webmaster.

The webmaster will not publish known surveillance frequencies (refuse to jeopardize public safety operations), or repeater input frequencies (not necessary information - we like to listen to the outputs instead). If you see any inappropriate frequency that is posted, please alert the webmaster and it will likely be removed from the site.

Please do your duty to alert the webmaster to changes, and the webmaster will do his duty to keep accurate and proper frequencies posted here.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

The Sussex, Morris, Passaic and Warren County sections of "Dave's Scanner Page" are nothing more than copied and pasted from this website. In comparing the sites, the wording of his pages are identical to what I have spent hours typing into this site, with information that I have either independently compiled or have been provided with by faithful supporters of this website.

In addition, his Bergen County section is nothing more than a copy and paste from Bergenscanner.com. Also, without a pop-up blocker, you will receive numerous annoying pop-ups when you visit and navigate through his website. As the Northwest Corner is privately hosted, you will never receive pop-ups, spyware, or adware from this website.

I request that visitors to this site e-mail him and suggest that he stop copying and pasting information from these sites, as he is only wasting his time and duplicating efforts of others. Perhaps his efforts would be better if they were concentrated on compiling pages on areas of New Jersey, which have no presence on the internet.
